Private health insurance is relatively cheap and can provide for all your healthcare needs. It can also be a shortcut for you and your family to be covered when you arrive in Portugal as it won’t require navigating any of the laborious administrative hurdles.

Many patients travel internationally for specialist treatment in Portugal’s private hospitals as quality is high and costs are relatively low. If you have particular requirements we can research the possibilities and draw from the experience of our extended network to make referral suggestions.

Usually Portuguese babies are delivered in one of the public or private hospitals by a gynecologist as Birth Centres with midwives are not an established concept here. Alternatively, a variety of options are available, including home birth and aqua birth. Being young parents ourselves, we can also assist in your planning of the birth preparation, with internationally experienced doulas, specialised yogis and nutrition experts.

Wellness culture is thriving in Portugal, with a wide range of retreats, yoga studios and courses available. Day spas are somewhat uncommon, but some of our favourite hotels have amazing facilities in beautiful locations.
